MY SKILLS

I have been working as a freelancer in the TV and film industry for just over 15 years. My career actually began in the banking and finance industry, where I gained valuable experience in budgeting, financial management, and administration — skills that have been fundamental to my work in production management.

I first stepped into the screen industry in a small capacity, providing casting assistance, location scouting, casting assist and on-set chaperone services for Disney Channel Australia. I quickly discovered how much I loved the industry, 

I went on to complete the Production Manager Certification and the Video Intensive Certificate at AFTRS (Australian Film, Television and Radio School) at Fox Studios. From there, I progressed to working on productions of all scales, moving into roles as Line Producer and Production Manager.

Over the years, I’ve had the pleasure of collaborating with a wide range of clients and production companies, including Disney Channel, SBS Television, Swingtime Creative, Winifred Productions, Temple, Casting Films, and Asgard Productions.

As a freelance Location Manager and Scout, I’ve developed a real passion for finding the perfect location that brings the director’s vision to life. This part of my career began alongside my work as a Line Producer on smaller productions, where I often took on the dual responsibility of both scouting and managing locations. It didn’t take long to realise how much I enjoyed the process — from the creative challenge of sourcing the right space to the practical problem-solving and negotiations often required to secure it.

Over the years, I’ve scouted a wide variety of locations, including private homes, offices, large-scale factories, derelict buildings, cafes, beaches, lakes, gardens, cinemas, and art galleries across the Sydney and Newcastle regions.

I’ve worked both as an independent freelancer and as a contractor with location agencies such as Ecom Locations and Set Book Locations. My credits as a Location Manager, Scout, include projects for Foxtel, Cutting Edge Films, The Dog House (TV series), Ruby’s Choice (feature film), Deadly Women (TV series), the REA Property Buzz web series, as well as productions for Temple, Casting Films, and Disney Channel Australia.
